I got back to Saint Louis late last night after almost a week away. If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you know that I was in Houston last week. I went to visit family and friends and take some time away from daily life and stress to recharge; which I’ve come to realize is one of the most important things you can do. I’ve probably mentioned it before, but I lived in Houston for two years before moving back to Saint Louis. I loved almost everything about living there and it’s easily one of my favorite cities. It also helps that the shopping is absolutely amazing and somehow keeps getting better.
My favorite part of spending last week in Houston was all the warm weather; wasn’t so fun to come back to 35 degrees in STL. I really miss Texas winters and having 85 degree Easter. It was especially nice to break out some of my Spring clothes I haven’t had a chance to wear yet, like this graphic cami. I’ve been stocking up on lightweight tops like this for Spring and Summer because I’ve entered the age where I’m either freezing or burning up everywhere I go. So layering is key for this old woman. I have to confess I’ve bought this graphic cami in three different patterns, including this pastel one, a gingham, and a plaid. I feel like it’s totally justified since they are under $20. They are just perfect with jeans and the material is so soft. I love that the little peplum gives it something extra.
If you were reading last summer, you know I love my white jeans and basically couldn’t live without them. I never even wanted to think about putting on a pair of white jeans because I don’t have the body of Gigi Hadid so I’ve always been terrified of how they’ll fit. I found these Topshop jeans and have bought them in basically every color and wash possible. They are totally affordable and the fit is amazing.
Happy Monday! XO – Tracy
