There are so many cold weather related beauty struggles in winter. We won’t even get into the fact there will never be enough self-tanner in the world to make it worth bothering. But today let’s talk my favorite products to prevent dry, dull skin in cold weather.
The best purchase you will make for your skin is a Clarisonic. I’m basically obsessed with mine and it has completely changed my life. Well, ok, it hasn’t completely changed my life, I still spend a lot of time watching Netflix and drinking wine, but it completely changed my skin. This is the number one tool to use to avoid dry skin. It leaves your skin feeling really soft and smooth. And there are a few different options of brush heads depending on what type of skin you have and the cleansing you want. I have oily skin, so I was hesitant for a long time to try this because I thought it would make my skin worse, I was completely wrong.
When it comes to makeup remover in the winter, I notice my skin tends to have more redness. It’s really more of a flush look, definitely not because I’m so pale and haven’t seen sunlight in forever, nope, definitely not. But in either case, I love to use makeup remover wipes instead of just a washcloth. I love these by Yes To because they are made specifically for sensitive skin and reduce redness. I also love First Aid Beauty‘s wipes because they are also very gentle on skin and leave skin soft.
You know I love my BIRCHBOX and I get plenty of different masks and cleansers with it. Recently, I got this Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner. It leaves skin super soft and definitely helps clear pores. I’ve tried a few different products from this line and love it all.
Moisturizer is my absolute best friend in winter. Every morning I use CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizer because it leaves my skin moisturized without leaving it oily. My dermatologist suggested I try it and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s also great as an everyday moisturizer because it’s wallet friendly.
For a nighttime moisturizer, I love Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar. It’s leaves skin smooth, soft, and smells amazing. I use it pretty often and have been a big fan of it since a friend introduced me to it a couple of years ago. It’s a little more of a splurge, but definitely worth the money.
