So I may be behind the curve on this one, but I’ve recently discovered the amazing power of charcoal cleansers. I happened upon Biore’s new line of charcoal cleansers while I was perusing the nail polish selections at the drugstore the other day. I read about charcoal cleansers in a few magazines recently, so I was interested to see what this was all about.
The reason charcoal cleansers are becoming so popular is that charcoal has natural detoxifying properties. When used in cleansers it can really help clean your skin and get all the dirt out of your pores.
I have to say I’m a huge fan of all three products. The best part is that they are inexpensive drugstore products and not ridiculous amounts of money like some charcoal skincare products can be.
My favorite product would have to be the Self Heating One Minute Mask. You apply the mask and then rub it in to your skin for a minute. The mask heats up while you apply it and works to pull all the toxins and impurities out of your pores. My skin felt really clean and smooth after using this mask.
I also really liked both the cleanser and the pore strips. I’ve been a big fan of Biore Pore Strips forever, but the Charcoal Pore Strips are about 100X better than the regular ones. The cleanser leaves skin feeling really refreshed and smooth. I’ve been using it more as a body wash since I’ve pretty dedicated to my Clarisonic. This works well as a body wash especially if you have long hair. I always use body wash after shampooing and conditioning my hair so the conditioner residue and any product on my hair doesn’t clog pores. The Charcoal Cleanser really helps with this, so definitely consider this if you’ve got long hair.
