Since Spring is kind of here, but kind of not, we’re just going to pretend like it is so I can wear pretty Spring clothes that I’m too anxious to wait for. I’m always a sucker for cute pastel dresses when Spring rolls around, but really all year because they’re my colors. I’ve been having such good luck finding dresses already this year, I’m running out of things to wear them to. I picked up this little pink dress recently and it is the absolute perfect shade of blush for me.

I’m always on the lookout for a cute date dress that has a little sass to it and this dress was perfect with it’s little cutout middle. The details are really subtle and feminine, but still give it a little edge to make it perfect for either a day or evening date for Spring. You could definitely wear this dress to any weddings this year too. It’s also great if you’re super pale like me because the ribbon detail makes it not so obvious you’re showing some skin. I used to be kind of self-conscious about wearing things that showed any skin, but then it was sort of like one day I said screw it and just wore whatever I wanted.

For date dresses, I usually go with something above the knee and flared for the primary reason that it works with both flats or heels. If it’s a day date or a first date that I don’t know how tall he is, I go with flats. It just makes things seem a little more casual or easy-going. Or like I can run away quickly if it turns out he is a murderer. You know, just the usual first date anxieties.

I paired it with blush heels for this date look which is so easy because blush shoes are huge this season. I’ve been finding tons of blush flats which is just so exciting for someone who only uses blush as a “pop” of color. I found these heels on sale and they are really comfortable for every day heels. I linked a few more below for you to shop too plus some flat options. I also kept this look simple with accessories because the dress itself has enough details. I almost always go simple on accessories because I just prefer for my statement piece to come in a top or dress, so gold bangles and a ring are my usual pieces.

You can shop lots more of my date favorites below!
