I’m so excited to get to share today’s post with you guys! I love getting to feature St. Louis brands and shops on A Study in Chic (like here) so when Soft Surroundings contacted me about their upcoming birthday celebration, I definitely wanted to be a part of it. In case you aren’t familiar, Soft Surroundings is a shop chock full of clothing, accessories, and home stuff. The one here in St. Louis is at The Boulevard at the Galleria which happens to be so close to my apartment. It turns out tomorrow is the store’s 11th birthday!

To help celebrate Soft Surroundings’ birthday in St. Louis, I wanted to talk a little about one of my favorite parts of St. Louis. Most people immediately think of the Arch or Cardinals baseball when they think of St. Louis but there is so much more to this city and loads of quirky and wonderful places that make people fall in love with it. One of my favorite spots in the city is DeMun, a quiet little street and an adorable neighborhood. I love everything about this street, specifically Kaldi’s and DeMun Oyster Bar. I love taking Chuck to Kaldi’s on a quiet weekend and getting a caramel latte, FYI they have the best. DeMun Oyster Bar is also a great date spot and perfect for an afternoon spent al fresco with some wine and people watching. There are also tons of small businesses along DeMun which give it that cozy neighborhood feel. Fall is my favorite time in this area because the trees look gorgeous along this quiet, but busy street. I always feel like I’m in a Nancy Meyers movie when I walk down it.

I knew when I got this cape that it would be perfect for a light Fall look. I love the beige and cream pattern of this cape and how you can use either side of it. I knew as soon as I got it that I’d be wearing it with an all white look for Fall. I’ve talked before about what a huge fan I am of white jeans after Labor Day because rules be damned. It was also a good excuse for me to break out my rarely worn booties. I actually tend to wear my moto boots all the time in Fall and ignore all my cute booties. I love a good cozy Fall look, like here, and Soft Surroundings does cozy like no one else.

If you’re in St. Louis be sure to head to Soft Surroundings at The Boulevard for their birthday celebration all weekend! There will be drinks, snacks, and complimentary makeovers while you shop.
