I know it’s been a few weeks since I posted the first part of my Savannah trip, but I’ve had so many photos to get through it took a while. We started our second day in Savannah by eating breakfast at our favorite spot, Huey’s. We always eat breakfast there because it is so delicious. It’s on the riverfront and on Saturday mornings (usually when we go) there are artists set up along the river and it’s relatively quiet. It makes for a nice brunch at Huey’s with all the doors open to River Street. Most importantly you have to get beignets there because they are so good they should be their own food group. I always get the seafood omelette because it’s the freshest seafood, the crabcake benedict, or the pain perdue.
After our giant breakfast, we headed out to walk down to one of my mom’s favorite shops, One Fish Two Fish. I recommend walking most places if you can, parking is a nightmare everywhere and walking gives you the chance to see tons of things, like red front doors and pink houses. We mainly spent the morning shopping and walking around. We had to leave Savannah in the early afternoon to head to Hilton Head for the week. While we were walking around, we of course saw a lot of historical sites. You can’t turn around in Savannah without something being historical. One of my favorite things about Savannah is all the attention to detail on the houses and sidewalks. We noticed iron handrails with pineapples on them which may have to be a part of my future home. We also came across a giant pink house, above, which solidified the fact that I’ve always wanted a pink house and now I will have one.
For my exploring/travel style this day I wore a shirtdress, which is sold out now, but this one is almost identical. I also love this and this option. I love a shirtdress with either sandals or sneakers for a comfy, cute look. It worked well in Savannah where you can’t always tell if a place is really fancy or really casual. I also wore these new sunglasses which are so cute and a great price for designer sunglasses. They have lots of great options like this pair and this pair.
