It wouldn’t be summer without some rosé. I’m a huge fan of rosé because I love chilled wine, but white wine gives me crazy heartburn. In all fairness, pretty much everything gives me heartburn. It just so happens sangria is one of my favorite summer drinks and I’m always looking for new versions to try out. This past weekend was so hot and humid in St. Louis, it was the perfect time to test out a new recipe for some rosé sangria.

I typically just pick up whatever rosé I find at Trader Joe’s. I have never been disappointed by this scientific method. I also like to use whatever fruit is in season. For this recipe I used white peaches which are a summer favorite for me. And they soak up the sangria very well.

This rosé sangria is fruity sweet but not overly sweet; aka it won’t give you a sugar hangover. The rosé is dry enough that it keeps it from getting too sweet. It’s perfect for a summer pool party or bbq. The best part is you only need a few ingredients to make this delicious sangria.

1 bottle rosé

1 cup peach schnapps

1 cup white wine optional if you use sweeter rosé

1-2 white peaches

1/2 cup strawberries

Combine all ingredients in a pitcher. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours; overnight is ideal. The longer you let it sit, the more boozy your fruit gets. Always my main concern when I’m in the kitchen.

Any sangria recipes you love? I’m always looking for more to try out. If you try any of my recipes don’t forget to share using #astudyinchic.
