My favorite color to wear is black. I know, this sounds really boring and/or depressing. But all my favorite prints pair perfectly with black. This season I’ve been lucky to find some amazing black prints to mix up my normally plain wardrobe.
One of my favorite dresses I was able to find is this black leopard sweater dress from LOFT. It’s on serious major sale online right now, so rush right over there. I love a sweater dress with boots and tights. My favorite tights ever are linked below. They are by SPANX and I am ridiculously hard on tights and these have yet to snag or get a run. It’s kind of a miracle so I feel like I should let you in on them.
My absolute favorite find of this season has to be this black and white plaid wool coat from Asos. Its seriously warm, but still lightweight. I also love that it’s a wrap coat because I just think they are much more flattering. A wrap coat is also great for a more casual look or dressed up.
I’m usually more tame in what prints I mix, but I just love both of these pieces so much I was willing to risk pairing plaid and leopard together. And for some reason, they just work. I think it’s because the dress base color is a lighter grey, which works with the coats base color of black. They color palettes are the same, so the look just works.
