I’m finally starting a Monday off on an organized note. I spent this weekend doing a major spring cleaning of my apartment. It included a trip to IKEA to get a little drawer thing to organize office stuff and I left with new barstools and a new tv stand. And like 500 tea lights. You know, just in case I can’t put the tv stand together and have to burn the whole place down.
I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been trying to slowly get rid of things I don’t need/want or use anymore. This weekend I finally got rid of a ton of stuff that I was basically keeping because I felt bad getting rid of it, like the old rug from my living room that was super dirty and had been living in my outside storage closet for months. Just time to throw that away and move on. It feels so good to finally get rid of so much stuff I just don’t need hanging over me.
Getting rid of so much stuff means now I have plenty of room for a few new things. I picked up this green dress recently and love the lightweight material for these warmer days. The dress is from Cupcakes & Cashmere, which is not only one of my favorite blogs, but Emily has her own line of clothes now! Last week I wrote a post here about this white off the shoulder top which is also from the Cupcakes & Cashmere line.
I’m always a huge fan of light dresses for spring and summer. I’ve really been loving all the Cupcakes & Cashmere dresses lately. I love this shirtdress with a similar style to my green one. I love a good off the shoulder style and this dress is adorable. Floral prints are an obsession of mine and this dress is perfect for graduation, bridal showers, weddings or the million other events you’ll have this summer.
