I really can’t get over the fact that the first week of August is done already. How is half the year already over? This week has been crazy busy for me; I’ve been in Phoenix for work. Spoiler alert: it’s hot here. I’m headed back to St. Louis tonight and back to working out every day because there’s been a lot of Shake Shack and Sprinkles this week. I love traveling for the food primarily but I also love staying in hotels for the cable. I don’t have cable at home so I just watch a lot of Netflix or HBO. So I haven’t seen any Bravo in ages. I have spent all week catching up on the Real Housewives of everything and it’s been fantastic.
It’s been nice not having any commitments after work though, so I’ve had plenty of time to catch up on TV, Pinterest, and my favorite blogs. For this week’s Friday Five I thought I’d share a few of my favorite blogs with you. A big part of why I started a blog was because I found so much inspiration from some of my favorites I would visit all the time. I also loved getting outfit inspiration and lifestyle articles. I loved it so much I wanted to create my own. Even now reading other blogs is a big part of running my own so that I’m always inspired and always supporting other bloggers. The blogging world is kind of a giant feel-good tribe of everyone doing their own thing and sharing their own unique style.
Cupcakes and Cashmere – I’m sure everyone’s heard of Cupcakes and Cashmere. Emily is one of the first bloggers to become insanely popular. Her blog is so beautiful and full of lots of inspiration. Over the years she’s written a few books and now has a clothing and home goods line at Nordstrom. Her clothes are some of my favorite pieces this summer.
Margo & Me – I included Jenny in my Instagram favorites roundup. Her style is so feminine and gorgeous, I find it so inspiring. Her blog is also really pretty and full of so much good content. She recently posted a ton of her photos from her wedding in France which alone is worth checking out because it’s just so gorgeous.
Gal Meets Glam – I’ve been following Julia for a long time because her style is such a good mix of feminine and every day. She also has a mix of high end designer pieces and budget friendly stuff. Her travel photos are amazing and make me wish I had more time off to spend traveling.
The Stripe – I think Grace was one of the first bloggers I really started following ages ago. She has great style and seeing her pictures of NYC make me feel like I’m living vicariously through her in the city. I love the mix of style and lifestyle content she posts and get lots of inspiration.
Carrie Bradshaw Lied – OK Kathleen is one of those bloggers who totally makes you feel like you’re best friends. I love her style posts because she has amazing taste. I also follow her on Snapchat and this girl is hilarious. I love her photos and seeing her life in Orange County because I love southern California.
