Friday Five

friday five 7

Hello Friday! This week has actually been super slow for me, which has been awesome to get caught up on lots of things. Last weekend I finally got around to making some home decor decisions that I’ve been putting off. I’ve been wanting new throw pillows for a while, but haven’t been able to make a final choice. And then new things come out and my whole decor scheme changes. It’s been a real struggle.

I also decided while I was looking for new throw pillows I might as well update my bathroom rugs and curtain and my kitchen rug. Honestly I have had the same bathroom and kitchen color scheme since I moved to Houston 4 years ago. It just feels like time for a change. I’m not going to show you my updated decor just yet, because mainly it’s not here and I have to make sure it’s right before I share it with you. I thought I’d share my five favorite websites for finding home decor that won’t break the bank.

1. Urban Outfitters

OK this one is really random, but I love the kitschy stuff they sell for your home. They also have a lot feminine decor which is really what my aesthetic is about. And while some things are ridiculously overpriced, they have a lot of good deals too. The map of Paris I have in my living room came from here!

2. Anthropologie

Another great option if you like kitsch or little trinkets. I have a lot of mugs and kitchen towels from Anthropologie. It’s also where I got my favorite hedgehog measuring cups.

3. Loom Decor

This online retailer is great if you’re looking for customized stuff. I was having a hard time finding throw pillows and ideas, but went through a lot of the fabric options on Loom to help me decide. The website is easy to use and when it comes to finding a fabric you like, you can get pretty much anything made; pillows, drapes, chairs, etc.

4. Bed, Bath, & Beyond

I know it’s like the number one place everyone goes, but specifically for me the Kate Spade collection is where it’s at. They have tons of good deals on the kitchen stuff and I love all the bedding. Great to keep in mind for birthday presents.

5. Target

Target is still always going to be one of my favorites. They have tons of gold accessories out now which goes perfectly with my new decor scheme. The website has tons of good stuff, but you kind of have to dig. There’s way more out there than in the store, so I recommend filtering down your search by color or price to make it easier to navigate. That’s how I found my favorite accent chair and my favorite marble side table for less than $100 each.

Are there any places you love for budget friendly decor? I’m still looking for a few accent pieces!
