I’ve been lacking inspiration the last few weeks. So I’ve been spending more time than usual on Instagram and Pinterest to get back in the creative groove. Instagram is one of my favorite places to find inspiration since it’s all visual. I only follow accounts I truly love and feel inspired by. I know a lot of people get really obsessed with the idea of number of followers and likes and they’ll follow anyone and everyone. Maybe that works for some people. You do you.
I like my Instagram feed to look more curated, but still authentic. I really hate that so many good feeds out there are all sponsored or just not true and you have no idea. It’s hard to tell what’s real on social media and what’s strategically posted to get more followers. It’s easy to get caught up in the comparison game, but there really isn’t a comparison because no two people are the same. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million more times, I’d rather have a small group of dedicated readers/followers/friends than to have thousands of uninterested followers.
I thought for today’s Friday Five I’d share my five favorite Instagram accounts to follow for inspiration.

I’ve made no secret about my love of Paris and @parisinfourmonths is one of my favorite feeds of all time. Carin has so many beautiful pictures of Paris, it very much makes me want to pack up and move there. You can see more of her beautiful pictures on her blog.

Jenny’s feed is full of feminine details and flowers. Plus her adorable frenchie, Margo. I’ve been reading Jenny’s blog forever because I love her style.

One of my favorite magazines and accounts to follow for loads of home decor inspiration. I’m really obsessed with these wall flamingos!
@CELINEREADS
A recent obsession of mine has been #bookstagram accounts. I love books and talk a lot about reading on here and my Instagram. I’m wildly indifferent to e-readers and will never give up on actual books.
@CNTRAVELER
