Friday Five

friday five 1

It has been one long week. It was my first full week of work in like a month so the struggle has been real. I’ve also been fighting some serious allergies all week so it’s been rough. I’ve found that the cure for allergies is definitely an entire package of cookie butter cream cheese from Trader Joe’s with some animal crackers. I’ve been eating an obscene amount of this stuff the past month, anyone else just incapable of not buying everything cookie butter?

Now that studying isn’t taking up so much of my free time, I’ve started a new book, Luckiest Girl Alive. I’ve gotten tons of recommendations so I finally started it. I also started watching Outlander because a few friends said I would like it since I love Game of Thrones. Which by the way has been so good this season and I basically spend every week hoping Gendry shows up. Anyway I’ve only gotten three episodes into Outlander and I have to say it is pretty good. You can watch it for free through Amazon Prime if you sign up for a 30 day trial of Starz. I’ve also got a few other things planned for my extra free time so I thought I’d share a few with you.

KonMari Everythingggg – I picked up Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up and this weekend I am going to KonMari the hell out of my apartment. I mean I haven’t actually read the book yet, but it’s pretty short. I’ve mentioned a few times the past few months that I’ve been trying to get rid of lots of thing that I don’t just love around my apartment in an effort to keep things under control. So I feel like this is just taking it to the next level. Has anyone else read it? Any KonMari tips?

WTF is a Bullet Journal? – So this week I started this whole bullet journal thing because I’ve been hearing about it and my Type A personality loves any sort of list-making activity. Ummm you guys, if you are remotely into making lists or if you manage 7,000,000 things like I do, then you need to get on this. It’s kind of complicated to explain, so read this article and then once you get started read this one to see how you can make your bullet journal look amazing.

At Home Workouts – I love my Barre3, but I’ve been wanting to do something a little more intense. I’ve heard lots of good things about both BBG and Tone It Up. I’m thinking about trying one of them, but they’re kind of a commitment money-wise in addition to Barre3. Has anyone tried either? Any tips for which is worth it?

Read all the books – I’ve been on a real buying spree of books lately. Now that I can read for fun again I’m stocking up on my reading list. I currently have Luckiest Girl Alive, The Nest, and Eligible. I just finished Eligible and it was so good I absolutely recommend it. Send me more recs!

OtterTube – Here’s the thing, I absolutely love sea otters and think they might be the most adorable things to ever exist. The problem is that YouTube has approximately 900 billion otter videos. Do you remember the Kristen Bell getting a sloth visit video? That’s exactly how I feel about just watching otters. It all started with this video of people getting to swim with otters.

Now you know why I started this blog; I don’t do well with free time.

P.S. the JORD giveaway ends Sunday so be sure to enter! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
