Friday Five

Processed with VSCO with q10 preset

After a nice long weekend, it’s been so hard to get back into my regular work routine. I had such a great weekend in Houston and managed to pick up a few Fall things I’ll share soon. I stopped by the Kate Spade flagship store while I was there and it is giving me major interior design goals. But I’m really feeling kind of lazy and like I just want to spend all my time staring at how adorable Chuck is. I went to pick up my four legged love from the kennel on Monday after work. I thought he’d be so depressed after I left him for four long days, but when I got there he was being fawned over by all the women in the place. I can’t take Chuck anywhere without women just falling all over him. If he were a human he’d be a total ladies man. Too bad he’s 56, lives at home, and still has to have his mom take him to the bathroom.

The weather finally started to feel a little like Fall in St. Louis this week so I’m going to spend the weekend sorting through Summer and Fall clothes. I may have to go ahead and order a few new things like oh 17 turtle necks, 100 scarves, and some new boots. I’m really feeling in the mood to break out the Fall clothes finally so I’ve been trolling tons of good sales and deals on Fall styles. There have been tons of good sales lately so I’m rounding up the best ones of the weekend to get a jump start on that Fall wardrobe.

Shopbop – The big Shopbop sale is going on today! Orders under $500 get 25% off and over $500 get 30% off. I love this lace dress which is perfect for holiday parties coming up. One of my favorite shoe styles for Fall is the slide on loafer. I picked up a pair super similar to this one a couple of weeks ago and they could not be more comfortable. This sale also includes Hunter boots! If you didn’t see it, I showed a super easy and natural way to keep them clean and shiny here. I recently bought these sunglasses at another store, but am going to take them back now to get the 25% off. They are so adorable and I’m obsessed with them.

LOFT – 40% off select styles this weekend. Tops and sweaters are included and LOFT is one of my favorites to grab these every year. I mean I’m somewhat biased from being a former LOFT girl in my grad school days. I picked up this top and this top recently and they are so cute and comfy. I love a good tweed jacket and this one is perfect for Fall and the holidays. For some basic sweater options I love this one in every color and I love this one for something comfy.

Banana Republic – 40% off select styles. Now is a good time to be on the lookout for holiday dresses at Banana. I always find the best stuff around October and early November. This little red dress is perfect for the upcoming season. I also love this sweater dress, it’s super soft and fits great. I bought this blouse recently and it is so perfect for work (size down).

Nasty Gal – 30% off almost everything. For anyone a little wilder than LOFT or Banana, Nasty Gal is one of my favorite places for not work appropriate clothes. I’m really obsessed with bodysuits right now and just ordered this one to wear with jeans and a jacket for Fall. Another great holiday look is this sequin romper, it would look so cute with tights when it gets colder. I’m a big fan of the laced up look and I love that the back of this sweater has it instead of the front.

Old Navy – 40% off your entire purchase. Some of the best budget deals of Fall are at Old Navy. I never used to shop at Old Navy, mainly because I didn’t ever live near one. There’s one like a block away from my apartment now so I end up going there all the time. I love this sweater dress which is great for work or casual. I’m big into ponchos and capes this Fall and I’m so into this black and grey turtleneck poncho. If you want a jump start on holiday looks, this reindeer sweater is a great deal right now. Some of the best deals you’ll find on jeans are at Old Navy. I picked up these a few weeks ago and they are so comfy, I’ve been wearing them nonstop.

Not a sale, but did you see J. Crew launched their active wear line with New Balance this week? It’s all super cute and totally affordable.

P.S. If you’re signed up as an insider, you can get new posts straight to your e-mail every morning! Be sure to sign up because there will be some subscriber only content coming up very soon! Also after going through the responses to the reader survey (take it here), I’m going to start working on a Q&A series. Send me any and all questions you have! There’s nothing too basic or too personal I won’t answer. If you’ve e-mailed me before, you probably already know it. The first one will probably go out to subscribers next weekend and will be on the blog later in the week. Be sure to sign up and to send me all your Q’s to A.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!
