Friday 15 – Festival Favorites

Last week I talked all about the tassel trend and how it’s becoming one of my favorites. This week’s Friday 15 is a follow up to that with my favorite festival pieces. The next two weekends are going to be all about Coachella on Instagram and Facebook. And if you aren’t really into going to the desert to listen to music and sweat to death, you can pretend you’re festival ready by adding some Coachella worthy outfits to your wardrobe.

The key to a good festival look is strappy sandals, flowy dresses, cutoff shorts, and hats. Hats seem super stylish, but actually are useful because like I mentioned, you’re listening to music outside in the sweltering heat. One of my favorite hats is a boater hat similar to this one, but I couldn’t live without my straw fedora in the summer. My pale skin will needs all the protection it can get so I wear hats all the time.

A great festival look is cutoff shorts and an off the shoulder top. This is also perfect for anything besides a festival because I wear this look all the time anyway. I love this off the shoulder dress. And a serious steal at less than $30! A major key to festival style is flowy dresses. I love this sleeveless option and this short sleeve option. It’s such a 60s hippie vibe but also great because if you’re at a festival you will be sweating because you’re outside. I don’t know if you’ve figured out that I hate music festivals but love the style.

This style doesn’t just stop at music festivals, it’s perfect for any summer parties or outdoor events. There are tons of ways to make this style work for just about anything in spring or summer.
