Fall Jacket Favorites

fall-jacket-roundup

I know I’ve talked before about how I’m really a Summer girl and want to wear dresses and sandals all year round. I have to say though, that I really love wearing jackets and jeans in Fall. Every year I fight letting go of Summer because it means *Ned Stark voice* Winter is coming. I am marginally looking forward to cooler weather because over the summer I picked up a new Kate Spade coat at the outlet for like 80% off the original price. I’m so excited to get some use out of it this year, it’s been ages since I bought a proper heavy wool coat.

My go to Fall jacket is my leather moto jacket. I had one that I literally wore out finally last year so I had to pick up a new one this year. I went with this moto jacket because it was under $100 and the fit is so good. The faux leather is really great quality too, which is key for me since I’m pretty brutal on my jackets. I also found it in a suede version which is going to be huge this Fall. I love the look and feel of the suede but like Jennifer Aniston, I’m dedicated to my leather jacket. I also very much want a faux fur vest this year. I always love the look of them on other people, but I can never find one that works for me. They always feel really bulky or like I’m 8 sizes bigger than I actually am. I found this one recently and it was just perfect, I have been thinking about it nonstop and regret not buying it so I think a trip to get it is in order this week now that it’s cooling down in St. Louis.

Another style that’s going to be big again this year is the sleveless jacket. I love the look of them but never found one last year that was my color or the right length or the right price. This year I’ve already found lots of great options and they are all at incredible prices. Of course I can never live without my trench coat year round. It’s the one essential that I have to keep looking nice and know goes with literally everything I own. One day I will own a Burberry trench, but until then I’m sticking with my under $100 options.

Does anyone else have a go to Fall jacket style they can’t live without? Shop all my favorites for the season below!
