I have slowly been making my way back to being a blonde over the past few months. After the first new stylist I tried when I got back to St. Louis took the addition of a few lowlights to mean “just color my blonde hair brown”, I’ve been patiently trying to get back to blonde. My new stylist does an amazing job and always tries to minimize any damage done by coloring and highlighting my hair.
Blonde hair can be a real commitment as far as maintenance. I’ve found a few products that I use religiously and keep my hair healthy and strong so I don’t need lots of products to keep up with my blonde hair.
Shampoo is one of the hardest products to find as a blonde. I feel like I tried about 20 before I finally found one that I liked and took care of my hair properly. The Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Shampoo comes in a version for light shades and dark shades. It keeps your hair from getting a yellow look and keeps your highlights bright and fresh even when you’re almost ready for a touch-up. The entire Sheer Blonde line is great and they have a variety of products for different shades of blonde. At such an affordable price, I can’t wait to try more of the products in the line.
I’ve written about this Macadamia Deep Repair Masque before, but it has to be one of my favorite products to exist. It keeps my hair so soft and nourished. I can tell a huge difference between using this conditioner and using anything else. My ends aren’t nearly as damaged and my hair overall is silkier and smoother. I especially recommend this if you have course hair or highlights to keep hair soft.
Blow Pro is one of my favorite hair care lines. They have a variety of products and all of them are great. Blow Pro is my number one go-to dry shampoo. It doesn’t dry out my scalp and doesn’t leave a white residue on my hair when I apply it. A little goes a long way with this dry shampoo so a bottle will last you a ridiculously long time.
