5 Things I Love in February

mascara primer

It’s been a while since I posted a 5 Things I Love roundup and I don’t know why because it’s one of my favorite posts to do. I love getting to share all the good things I find and don’t necessarily need their own posts. I mentioned before that I’m taking a hiatus from buying clothes in February because goodbye Winter I want no more part of you. So I’ve been playing around with lots of beauty products and trying to find good stuff to share with you guys for Spring.

I recently ran into Walgreen’s to grab a new tube of my L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara and while I was trying to remember which color I use (black or blackest black, they’re so different) I found this Voluminous Primer. I’ve never used primer before, but have heard a few people in passing mention they use it. It was super cheap, like $6 so I thought I’d give it a go. I am absolutely obsessed with this stuff. It gives my lashes way more volume and some added length. You just swipe the primer on first, then your mascara. I’ve noticed my mascara is way less flaky at the end of the day and looks as fresh as when it did that morning. It also has made taking off my mascara at the end of the day easier. I mean it’s going to be the best $6 you spend this month.

Another beauty find I’m obsessed with is on the higher end of the budget spectrum. This month Dior released a whole new set of shades for their Dior Lip Glow balm. This is my favorite every day lip balm. It goes on sheer but works with the pigment in your lips to give them some tint. I always use the Pink Glow which is the most natural shade for me. They just released some new shades of brighter pink and berry, not only in the glow, but in matte and HOLOGRAPHIC. You know I’m about to have some pink holographic lips because it’s all disco balls and ABBA in our apartment. The thing that makes this lip balm so worth it is that it’s really hydrating to your lips.

My other beauty find is the most fun of all beauty finds. I’m a huge fan of Kristen Ess’s hair care line at Target and this month they released a whole bunch of new products. Some of the new products include purple shampoo and conditioner which is great because I’m in need of a new one. But the best new product is the rose gold hair tint. That’s right, rose gold hair tint. I am about to live all of my late ’90s Gwen Stefani hair dreams with this tint. It’s temporary so it just gives it a pink tint for a few days, but how fun is this?

I’ve been really into sneakers lately on the weekends, but realized I need new white ones. While hunting down a good pair, I came across this floral pair from Kate Spade. They kind of remind me of a mix between the Gucci sneakers that have been everywhere and a pair of YSL floral sneakers I wanted last year and didn’t buy and regret. Now to just find these when they’re on sale and they’re mine.

I know I said I wasn’t buying clothes in February, but I may have to make an exception for this Sezane blouse. I saw this a few weeks ago and didn’t buy it, but have thought about it literally every day since. Do you ever have things like that? You just can’t get them off your mind and that’s how you know it’s meant to be. I think I just need some sequins to keep me going until it’s Spring.

Have you tried any of these? I’m dying to know if anyone else loves the L’Oreal Voluminous Primer as much as I do!
